This Pug/ Chihuahua cross is said to be one of the most desired cross breed today.
Chugs are said to be very intelligent. They are very family oriented, therefore often protective. Our pups have always gotten along with other animals, but this may not always be the case.
They are usually energetic but adjust well in apartment settings. Just make sure to walk your Chug daily! They love attention so hug and kiss lots! (This comes from the pug side).
Respiratory and eye problems are possible. Both troubles are more common in the purebred Pug or Chihuahua.
Bottom line - our experience with our breed has been extremely positive. They are very affectionate and obedient. They always aim to please and find our lap or feet their very favorite resting place. |
So far we haven't had any health troubles. Chugs are even said to be hypoallergenic. Many people agree that cross breeds are healthier than purebreds.
