Open the connection

First open your porchlight.ca connection. Click Start

If you are using the "Classic" start menu, click Start

The porchlight connection window should appear. Click the Properties button.

General properties

Under the General tab, ensure that "Use dialing rules" is unchecked and verify that the ten digit dial-up access number for your local calling area is entered. These are listed in a table below.

Click Ok to return to the previous window.

User name and password

Now verify that your user name and password are entered correctly. Click on "To change saved password, click here" and re-enter your password.

Click Dial to test the settings.
