Email Setup
Outlook 2002/XP - Setup wizard
  1. Opening the setup wizard

    Click on Tools E-mail Accounts.




  2. E-mail Accounts

    Select the first option to "Add a new e-mail account". Click Next to proceed.




  3. Server type

    Choose POP3 for the server type, then click Next.




  4. E-mail Settings

    The majority of the email settings will be filled out in this form.  First enter your display name and email address (your user name@porchlight.ca).  Then enter your user name and password for your dial-up account.

    The incoming mail (POP3) server is pop.porchlight.ca.  The outgoing mail server (SMTP) is mail.porchlight.ca.

    Before moving on to the next step, click the More Settings button.




  5. SMTP Authentication

    First switch to the Outgoing Server tab, then check "My server (SMTP) requires authentication".

    Click Ok to return to the previous form.



    Click Next to proceed.



  6. Finished

    Click Finish to complete the setup wizard.
