Email Setup


Netscape 7 - Change/Confirm settings
  1. Open Netscape Mail.

    First open Netscape Mail.

    Then click on Edit Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.




  2. Account Settings

    Now select your email account from the list on the left (ie. jsmith@porchlight.ca) and confirm that your email address is entered correctly.




  3. Server Settings

    If necessary, open the account by clicking on the arrow beside your email address.



    Now highlight Server Settings.  Ensure that your user name is entered and the Server Name is pop.porchlight.ca.




  4. Outgoing Server

    Now click on Outgoing Server (SMTP) and confirm that the Server Name is mail.porchlight.ca.  Also confirm that "Use name and password" is checked, and your username is entered.

    Click Ok to finalize any changes that may have been required.



    Note: If the password you've supplied is incorrect, Netscape will ask you to re-enter it when you send an email.
