Mail/News Account Settings

First open Netscape Mail.

Then click on Edit

Mail/Newsgroups Account Settings.

Outgoing Server (SMTP)

First highlight Outgoing Server (SMTP) on the left. Then enter mail.porchlight.ca for the Server Name.

Check "Use name and password" and enter your porchlight.ca user name.

Note: Netscape will ask you to supply the password the first time you send an email.

Add Account

Now click Add Account to load the Account Wizard.

Select "Email account" and click Next to proceed.

Identity

Now enter your name and email address and click Next.

Server Information

Select POP for the server type, then enter pop.porchlight.ca for the incoming server. Click Next to proceed.

User Name

Now enter your porchlight.ca user name and click Next.

Account Name

The account name should default to your email address. This is fine, click Next to proceed.

Summary

The final step should include a summary of the settings that you've entered. After looking over them, click Finish to complete the account wizard.

Finished

Now click Ok to finalize the setup.
